Landscape Design (C.A.D./Imaging)
This started back in 1997 at the "PANTS" nursery/landscape trade show in Philadelphia. I accompanied the owner of 4 garden certers to the show and we were watching a demonstration of Drafix C.A.D. 3.1 Landscape Design software with the early version of Earthscape Visual impact imaging included.. This guy was flying as he was designing a landscape. Plants, beds, walks, everything.......
Bryce said "Boy where could I find someone to do that"
I said "I'll learn it!!!!"
He looked at me and grinned. Twenty minutes later he forked over almost five grand for the software.
Hell, I DIDN'T even own a computer at the time........
Took care of that with a loan from Dad and a trip to Cyber Warehouse where I purchased my first of many Acer Computers. They are great....
13 years later, I got quite good with it. I now draw C.A.D. in Autodesk 3D and have the latest version of earthscapes "Visual impact" software installed. I design residential and commercial landscape layouts, overviews and do digital imaging plans also. Lighting may be applied for nighttime aspects, growth years implemented to show future landscape appearance.

C.A.D. landscape Design Plans
C.A.D. overview plans are usually drawn from a copy of the original and/or revised property plan and from the building plans of any existing structures (if they are obtainable). If not, then the property must be measured off, orientation to north denoted, and existing sturctures measured and placed as per location.
Existing plants, trees and/or shrubs that will remain are designated as per placement or location and beds are maked off, patio or recreational areas are denoted, walkways or paths configured and lawn areas designated. Digital Images are taken for reference.
Plan is designed to property owner's desires and/or specifications thereof.
Printed & Delivered on the finest quality papers. 36" X 44" (1) copy - 22" x 17" (2) copies

Visual Impact Design Example - Landscape Design Plan V2
Landscape Imaging entails the photography of your entire property or areas to be developed. With information obtained during an extensive walk-through of the property, these images and a proposed budget determined, a c.a.d. overplan is prepared first, detailing the landscape layout with all areas denoted and planted with plant species indicated as per placement of plantings. 
With approval of this overview landscape design plan, the visual design is initiated. Placing the plants as per location from the C.A.D. plan, the resulting landscape is depicted as it shall appear. Lighting, garden decor, focal points are possible.
Plants can be shown at various stages of maturity for appearance years from now.
Visual Landscape Design, while involving more design costs upfront, also saves you time and money in the long run, as you can achieve what you desire from the onset, offsetting renovation costs and expenses down the road.
